- The IMA, the world’s biggest management accounting organisation, administers the US CMA Exams. IMA membership is open to all hopefuls who pass both CMA examinations.
- A 12th class education in India (or an associate degree earned outside India) is necessary to sit for the US CMA tests.

US CMA Course Details and Duration
The US CMA certificate may be completed in a period of six months to three years, depending on the aspirant’s strategy and study schedule. A candidate must finish the tests within three years after registering, according to IMA rules.

CMA Exam Pattern and Passing Score
Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Essay Type Questions (Essays) are part of the US CMA test programme. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and two essays are included in each of the four-hour parts 1 and 2. For the MCQs, aspirants would be given three hours and one hour, respectively, for completion.
- MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) account for 75% of the exam;
- Essay questions account for 25% of the exam.
To sit for the CMA test in the United States, a candidate must earn at least 360 out of a possible 500 points. The pattern is the same for both pieces.
